The reinforced Jewish dumpling went the distance, but it was clearly outside the strike zone.

Jewish rapper Matisyahu threw the ceremonial first pitch at New York’s Citi Field so far off the field that only a superhero would have been able to catch it.
And one actually attempted to …
Matisyahu had a good excuse for the misfire during Jewish Heritage Day at the ballpark this past weekend, though. He wasn’t throwing a baseball but a matzah ball.
The rapper, 44, clad in all white and wearing a New York Mets hat, took a sip of matzah-ball soup before chucking the dumpling—reinforced with extra flour for extra airtime—towards Miller, 30, also in white and who donned a yarmulke atop a Mets hat while playing “catcher” at the Mets’ ballpark in Queens, N.Y.
Miller really hammed it up, missing the ball by a long shot.
Miller is known for playing the DC Comics superhero “The Flash” in recent feature films. The character is known, obviously, for his great speed.
Matisyahu has released seven studio albums in the last 19 years, earning a Grammy nomination for the 2006 album “Youth.”
