A Hindu bank manager from Rajasthan is shot dead in a suspected terror attack in Kulgam district, Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.
This attack follows days after a school teacher was shot dead, also in Kulgam. The shooting may be linked with the Hizbul Mujahideen, a terrorist group that is outlawed in many countries, excepting Pakistan that subscribes to the groups aim of merging the region with Pakistan. There is a high probability that these attacks are also connected with a recent arms haul in the region by local police.
JTVC voices concern over the well being of India’s jewish community. Strong anti-Semitic slogans have been ranted by supporters of the militant Hizbul Mujahideen. While the threat mainly centers around the disputed Kashmir, deadly attacks by radical Islamic terrorists have happened elsewhere in India.
