The head of Northern Command visited Southern Lebanon on Monday for a situational assessment with field commanders.

Israeli forces operating in Southern Lebanon earlier this week targeted and struck a vehicle carrying Hezbollah terrorists who posed an imminent threat to them, the army announced on Tuesday.
Additionally, Northern Command head Maj. Gen. Ori Gordin visited Southern Lebanon on Monday for a situational assessment with field commanders.

The IDF stressed that troops are actively working to eliminate threats and dismantle terrorist infrastructure in Southern Lebanon, in line with the ceasefire agreement between Jerusalem and Beirut that was extended until Feb. 18.
The Nov. 26 deal requires Hezbollah to retreat north of the Litani River, with the Lebanese army gradually taking over from withdrawing Israeli forces to prevent the Iranian-backed terror group from regrouping close to the shared border.
