Updating of Statistics
Regularly monitoring Internet based statistics is an essential task for discerning net based businesses. Jewish TV Channel regards its clients as close associates sharing a common goal to reach a defined target audience and keep them engaged. Having one’s finger on the pulse of rapidly changing market conditions helps one to stay both focused and looking ahead. The subtle nuances of following Internet trends can work favorably based on a balanced approach, without losing sight of long term goals. We have compiled screenshots from trusted sources including Google Analytics and Awstats. The following charts apply to the month of November. JTVC hopes to provide regular updates. The need for a monthly reporting figure, reflects our goal of creating a viable monthly digital magazine, which will allow advertisers to engage our target audience.
This screenshot provides the following information: Reading from top left to right – small orange box (1) Unique visitors: 3830. (2) Number of visits: 23,913 – Accordingly, 6.24 visits per visitor means repeat visitors. (3) Page views: 142,590 equates to almost 6 page views per visitor. (4) Hits: 361,536 – There is a general misconception that hits should determine an advertising budget. Hits can be flawed through bots. (5) Not viewed traffic: Any suspicious activities e.g. bots, web crawlers, etc. are excluded from the statistics. Note: As this screenshot was taken November 11th, one can conservatively estimate at least a doubling of the above stats for a monthly impression.
This screenshot is from Google Analytics, the accepted and trusted industry standard for web page statistics. It is based on historic information showing that the previous 28 days yielded 30,000 site visitors. The right window displays a real-time update of 412 recent visits over the previous 30 minutes. The average engagement time improved when compared with the previous 7 days. Awstats shows a 26% bounce rate – referring to the number of site visitors that stay less than 30 seconds – this is a healthy stat for our industry.
This screenshot is from Google Analytics, the accepted and trusted industry standard for web page statistics. It is based on historic information showing that the previous 7 days yielded 18,000 site visitors. The right window displays a real-time update of 412 recent visits over the previous 30 minutes. The average engagement time shows a 35.4% improvement. JTVC errs on the side of caution about estimating the next 28 day total based on the 18k visits over 7 days.
Anglo speaking countries dominate the top 12 positions, headed by the United States. Israel in third place is more associated with the Jewish nature of the site than on language preferences. JTVC has made a coordinated effort to cultivate the English speaking Indian market, which is generally pro Israel and Judaism, this reflects India being in the second spot.
